Being a fan of BRUTAL Death Metal I've noticed a tendency to (subconsciously?) ignore certain classic, canonical Death Metal bands of the nineties. Let's face it: nineties Brutal Death Metal is Cannibal Corpse, Broken Hope, Cryptopsy, Suffocation, later on Dying Fetus, Deeds of Flesh, Krisiun, Mortician etc.
So who of you would name bands like Monstrosity or Gorguts when asked for the really heavy shit from back in the days?
